Infared photos

I was trying out some other camera equipment that has been speciality converted to captured infared light instead of the regular visible light. Here are a few photos taken with the camera on LSU's campus and a few in the yard.

Kids photos

I had the privilege today to take some photos of Christie's children. I went to her house to shoot, and got some fun shots of her kids playing on their teeter totter and on the swing set. They are really growing up fast and look so different every time I see them.

Christmas

I got to enjoy Christmas with my niece, sister, brother in law and his immediate family. I got some good presents, mostly photography related items. My niece got a big surprise from Santa Claus this year. She got a puppy. Here are a few photos from the day.

Welcome

Welcome to my new blog. I plan to use it share what is going on in my life with family, friends, customer, potential customers, etc.

I will also start posting some past photos to this blog, so check back regularly and look through the older posts. I will date the post near the date the photos were taken.

I am a Birmingham, AL based photographer who travels for work and please to Baton Rouge / New Orleans, LA about 30 days a year, and to St George Island, FL about 30 days a year. I also travel to Washington State regularly (at least twice a year) for about 20 days and occasionally to Alaska (every few years).

Seafood Omelet

Every time I visit Baton Rouge, I try to make at least one trip to Louie's Cafe (Louie's Cafe). It is an interesting little cafe near LSU's campus. (209 W State St Baton Rouge, LA) It has one of the best omelets I have ever had, the Seafood Louie. Crawfish, shrimp, and vegetables (squash, zuchinni, onions, a few others) topped with a cream sause. It comes in 2 sizes and I rarely can finish the regular size.

Since finding this 24 hour restaurant years ago, I have tried to find a restaurant here in Birmingham that could compare. I haven't yet but I am still looking. If you know of any that you could recommend, please let me know.

Thanksgiving

I traveled to my sisters home in Baton Rouge, LA to spend the Thanksgiving Holidays with my sister, brother in law, my niece (Blair), my mother and my stepfather. Blair is very entertaining and is the center of attention at all family gatherings. Everytime I travel to she her I end up with hundreds of photos of her, and I am sure this trip will be no different.

I am very thankful for my family, friends, and all that I have.

Muscovy Ducks

I was wondering around near the campus of LSU looking for something different to photograph and happened upon a group of ducks just wandering around near the lake. They actually approached me so they were not scared of people at all, and I am sure are regularly feed by people. I took took this random shot and moved on.
